Some other things to consider:

  • Look for publications that come out weekly or biweekly
  • Make sure that they are published consistently and on time.
  • Make sure that there is an actual domain behind the publication and that the domain is actually alive,
  • Look for a subscriber base of 200-1500. remember you are looking for a publication that has very targeted subscribers.
  • Find a price within your budget. You should know how many sales that you need to at least break even.

Basic types of ads that can be placed include:

  • Solo Ads-These are usually more expensive, but may produce better results.
  • Top Sponsor Ad- Usually appears at the top of the page or e-mail
  • Middle Sponsor Ad- appears somewhere in the middle of the text
  • Bottom Sponsor Ad- Appears at the bottom of the page

Sponsor ads are usually very short and appear more like a classified ad So, using sponsor ads will require that your ad is compelling and well written
